One of the things I really love about what we do is finding stuff that most people can’t.
Take this for example. This email from Sara popped into Russell’s inbox:
Happy New Year!
We would like you to find some miniature / normal size but not too big gardening trowels if possible in pink and black.
I think they are called decorative trowels when you search them! They are decorative but can be used in the garden too! This is a fashion in the gardening and decorative accessories for the home (I have some too!)
Laura Ashley and Orla Kiely make some nice ones as a guide for you… other companies too!”
Now that’s what I call a challenge and it’s the sort of request we love. But Sara’s email didn’t end there, she continued:
“The trowel would be the first choice …
The other thing we wondered about is to look at was a traditional flower press see below…. Again we would like to brand with V&R!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Now most people would struggle with requests like this. They’d scratch their heads, make a few phone calls, spend an hour or so searching on Google and then give up.
By the end of the day we’d found a supplier that just happens to specialise in decorative trowels just like this one.
Oh and I know a man who creates amazing stuff out of wood and within a couple of days he confirmed he could help with traditional flower presses just like this one.
