Contrary to popular belief people do not buy on price alone.
Think about it.
If most people bought on price alone Skoda would be the best selling car, Great Yarmouth would be the holiday destination of the masses (I was born there so trust me when I say you’d have a better experience in North Korea), and the Lenovo K8 Note would be the best selling smart phone.
Instead Ford and Volkswagen lead the way in cars, us Brits flock to Spain every year, and the most expensive phone in the world, the iPhone, is the best selling smart phone.
I’m not saying price isn’t important, of course it is, but quality, service, reliability, peace of mind and a stress free life is worth more than some people realise.
Here’s what I really don’t understand.
People who spend too much time trying to find the right deal – It’s ok to compare prices when making a purchase, but sometimes spending too much time trying to find the best deal will result in either the best option being sold out or leaving it too late to get what you want, when you need it.
And don’t forget, time is worth something too, you could be so focused on saving money, at the expense of quality, that you miss out on stuff you could be doing to make you money.
People who penny pinch rather than focus on making real savings – we’ve experienced customers who will push and squeeze on price only to spend fortunes sending stuff by same day courier when there’s no great urgency.
Looking at waste and making savings that’ll not cause quality and service issues is far more cost effective. Just look at how KFC not only lost a fortune but their reputation suffered too because they went with the cheapest option.
So here’s a great little tip for you.
If you’re happy with the products and service you get from your regular suppliers, keep with them, you need them as much as they need you.
